SysMaster Adds GSM Functionality to Its VoIP Product Line

Adding GSM channels to the SM7000 VoIP Gateway and the megaSwitch Class 5 server improves call quality dramatically, while lowering costs of call origination and termination

WALNUT CREEK, CA, April 16, 2007 – SysMaster Corporation, a leading provider of VoIP, IPTV and Wireless solutions for telecoms and service providers, announced that as of Q2 2007, two of its most popular products—the SM7000 VoIP Gateway and the megaSwitch VoIP PBX server—will support the global system for mobile communications standard (GSM).

Embracing GSM will not only enrich product function but also deliver a host of substantial benefits to users—it will accomplish that at a reduced cost, as customers can originate or terminate VoIP traffic directly from or to GSM networks. Both SysMaster products with enhanced GSM capabilities will support up to 120 VoIP, 120 PSTN and 64 GSM channels.

GSM, a universal standard for digital cellular communication, is widely used in Europe and other parts of the world. Currently, more than 2 billion people employ GSM, making it one of the most successful technologies in history.

“At SysMaster, we are deeply committed to supporting the GSM standard that has brought such easy, reliable, and affordable communications to people worldwide,” said Martin Yosifov, SysMaster Director of Marketing. “These new product capabilities reflect our goal of building versatile, high-quality solutions to meet the needs of services providers and their fast-growing markets.”

SysMaster SM7000 is a highly scalable, carrier-grade VoIP gateway, whose advanced features now include broad GSM connectivity. The SM7000 allows services providers to deploy high-revenue VoIP services quickly and cost-efficiently: class 4 service, callback, VoIP termination and more. With its universal IP-PSTN switching and support for the popular SIP and H.323 standards, and now for the GSM standard, the gateway is popular with providers seeking swift, dependable return on investment.

SysMaster megaSwitch is a Class 5 VoIP PBX server that has earned market prominence for its rich set of traditional and next-generation features, enabling service providers to launch sophisticated VoIP offerings at a low initial investment. The versatile megaSwitch offers VoIP PBX, Auto Attendant (IVR), Voicemail, Unified Messaging, Follow-me, Conferencing and more. Particularly suited to mixed VoIP/PSTN and pure VoIP telecom infrastructures, the megaSwitch is scalable and modular, letting providers meet customer demands and market opportunities promptly and cost-efficiently.
